The Last Vinci release new single “Living Certified Disaster”

‘Living Certified Disaster’ is the bruising lead single from Cork quartet The Last Vinci, released today (23rd January). It arrives ahead of their forthcoming album 15 Minutes at a Time, due 17th April via Narrow Door Records.

“It’s an honest snapshot of spiralling thoughts, sleepless nights, and the stubborn need to keep going despite wanting to let it all go” says frontman Alex Vinci.

Emerging from Cork’s fertile alternative scene, The Last Vinci have carved out a reputation built as much on physical volume as on sheer persistence. Anchored by Alex Vinci’s low-end-heavy guitar approach and a confrontational live presence, the band first broke through with their self-titled debut in 2014, which carried them across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe. Early tracks like ‘Follow Your Order’, ‘Free From Yourself’, and ‘No Place to Hide’ established a template of blunt force and restless momentum.

They pushed that approach further on 2019’s EP The World / Enda Kenny / The Devil / The Vegans and All the Millennials Shit, released through Narrow Door Records and supported by a relentless run of shows across Ireland, Italy, and the UK. When touring stalled during the pandemic, the band redirected their energy inward, building The Narrow Studio in Cork — a DIY base that would quietly reshape how they worked.

That period fed directly into The Revolution Is Made Together (2022), recorded with Liverpool producer Tom Peters (Alpha Male Tea Party, Bicurious, Cleft). The record marked a sharpening of their songwriting without sanding down its edges, earning airplay from Kerrang! Radio and praise for tracks such as ‘Falling from a Mountain of Joy’, ‘Gallow’, and ‘Adding Water to the Ocean’.

Live momentum followed quickly. A Culture Ireland-supported European tour in 2023 took in sold-out rooms in Cork, Bristol, and Cambridge, alongside packed shows across Germany and Italy. In 2024, a run of Irish dates with Brighton electro-punk trio CLT DRP further cemented their reputation as a band best understood at close range.

With 15 Minutes at a Time, The Last Vinci double down on independence and emotional clarity. Made outside traditional studio systems and guided by instinct rather than polish, the album balances weight and vulnerability, refining the band’s raw power into their most focused and affecting work to date.
