A-tota-so are back with the release of their stunning new single ‘Form of Mass’, arriving 1st May via bUTTONpUSHER.
Blending driving energy with emotional weight, “Form of Mass” captures the feeling of trying to stay hopeful while living through increasingly uncertain times. Despite its darker themes, the band deliberately leaned into a more upbeat and immediate sound – creating a track that balances tension, frustration and catharsis in equal measure.Speaking about the single, the band said:
“Form of Mass is about how the world feels like it’s falling apart around us right now and we’re all constantly waiting for things to change for the better but they never do so we’re stuck in a never ending cycle of anxiety and stress because we can’t really do anything to change the way things are. We tried to keep this song as upbeat as possible even with its negative connotations. Maybe someday things will get better and we’ll look back on these dark days and just think WTF was that?”
Following the release of previous single “Death Rattle” earlier this year, “Form of Mass” offers another glimpse into A-tota-so’s ability to combine raw emotional honesty with infectious intensity.
A-Tota-So are a noisy alt-rock band powered by momentum, collaboration and a refusal to settle into one version of themselves. Known for their visceral live shows and restless creativity, the band have built a reputation on pushing their sound forward rather than looking back.
