Pete Lambrou, the visionary composer and multi-instrumentalist behind VLMV (pronounced “Alma”), has today revealed his latest release ‘I Am An Officer’.

The single is taken from VLMV’s stunning new album There Will Come Soft Rains which is set for release on the 24th April via Pelagic Records.

VLMV comments on the new single: “‘I Am An Officer’ is a song in 2 parts. One of regret, and one of thankfulness. It is a funeral march. An ode to contrition. A Lamentation.

“I wanted to keep the simple piano throughout, delicate and careful, backed with subtle but building textures layered from cello drones re-recorded through various guitar pedals and modular synth.

“It features guest vocals from long time collaborator Anja Madhvani, adding texture, light and hope in what I’ve aimed to maintain as a celebration of life.”
