The final glimpse of H_ngm_n’s long-awaited debut album, Ghosts picks up where their 2018 track Ghost left off. A reflection on finding your footing when life feels out of sync, its soaring guitars and cathartic choruses capture the tension between light and dark, doubt and connection. Closing the record on a note of hope and resilience, it stands as an anthem for anyone navigating uncertainty with a refusal to give in.
That same spirit defines Paper Street, the Brighton duo’s debut full-length. Named after the term for a street that exists only on maps, planned but never built , it charts fractured trust, unfinished plans and restless dreams across ten brutally honest, hook-laden rock songs. With singles Reach Out, Spotlight, No Place Like Home and Nothing Personal, the album balances unflinching honesty with uplifting energy, confronting the bittersweet truths of growing older and the jagged beauty of dreams that may never fully materialise.
Blending emo’s raw intensity with the explosive energy of early-2000s pop-punk, H_ngm_n transform overthinking, overdrinking and the struggles of adulthood into irresistibly anthemic songs.
Paper Street is out 17th October via Sugar-Free Records on 12” vinyl, with pre-orders available now. The band tour the UK from 24th October, including their biggest hometown show to date at Chalk on 29th October, supporting Free Throw and Prince Daddy & The Hyena.
