Brighton’s Windowhead Set to Release Terrestrials EP on 28th March 2025

Brighton-based quartet Windowhead are set to release their highly anticipated Terrestrials EP on 28th March 2025, blending the raw energy of Post-Hardcore with the atmospheric melancholy of Shoegaze. Drawing influence from heavyweights like Thrice, Glassjaw, Deftones, and Nothing, the EP promises to push the boundaries of their already distinctive sound.

Following the release of the EP’s lead single, “Todd, Honey” on 28th February 2025, the band showcases their evolution with a new intensity and urgency.

Since their formation, Windowhead have sought to carve out a unique musical identity by experimenting with diverse textures and genres. Their 2018 debut Still Life paired the vast crescendos of Post-Rock with the subtle nuances of Lo-Fi Indie. On their 2021 album Sunflowers, the band deepened their sound, blending Shoegaze, Post-Hardcore, and Metal influences. Dreamy, swirling guitars and layered vocals meet thundering drums and bass for an undeniably compelling contrast.

Over the last four years, Windowhead have honed their live performances, absorbing the immediacy of Post-Hardcore greats like Thrice and Glassjaw. Terrestrials marks the culmination of this work, with the EP featuring the band’s signature effects-heavy guitars alongside unconventional time signatures, intense dynamics, and chaotic rhythms that are sure to captivate listeners.
