Bucket release new single “Nonsense”

Dublin noise merchants Bucket return with new single ‘Nonsense’, a ferocious three-minute blast of hardcore, noise and electronic music. Taut with tension before detonating into something confrontational and unhinged, the track cements the band’s growing reputation as Dublin’s loudest and most punishing band.

Mixed and engineered by James Eager (Lankum, The Scratch), ‘Nonsense’ marks a bold step forward from Bucket’s 2025 debut EP Muck, balancing dancefloor propulsion with crushing guitars and jagged rhythmic shifts. Lyrically, vocalist Cian Dahdouh draws on society’s fixation with extreme psychology and true crime, writing from the perspective of a fictional stalker.

“The song is written from the perspective of a fictional stalker, unfolding as an internal monologue that exposes their obsessive and unsettling mindset. It draws on feelings of paranoia and being watched, alongside society’s fascination with mentally unstable people who commit horrific acts. The popularity of true crime reflects a desire to understand how these minds work, which pushed me to explore that space.”
