Cork-based Alt-Rock trio The Last Vinci release New Single “Sonova Beach”

The Last Vinci return with their latest single, “Sonova Beach”, an anthemic critique of manipulation and exploitation, out on December 6th on all major streaming platforms. Through fierce instrumentals and raw lyrical honesty, “Sonova Beach” calls out those who habitually take advantage of others, shedding light on the childish undertones of their self-centered actions.

With biting lyrics and an energetic sound, “Sonova Beach” showcases The Last Vinci’s unique ability to blend heavy riffs with thought-provoking themes. At the core of the track is the notion that while manipulators may think their actions go unnoticed, in reality, they are observed by all, and their immaturity is on full display.

The music video, directed by Shane Serrano of Crude Media, brings this theme to life, cleverly depicting the routine of a typical “chancer”—a person who exploits situations to their own advantage—with a twist. The video juxtaposes scenes from the manipulator’s daily life with reactions from those around him, revealing how he appears from their perspective. In these moments, the character is portrayed as a child wearing a school uniform and propeller hat, symbolizing the immaturity of his approach.

Adding a personal touch, the video’s main character is played by Evan from Uncutivates/Worn Out/Deadcult Promotions, with cameos by members of the Cork music scene, including Skies Behind, Worn Out, Spit, Pontious Pilate & The Naildrivers. This vibrant collaboration underscores The Last Vinci’s connection to their local music community.

“Sonova Beach” continues The Last Vinci’s legacy of using music to shine a light on the darker sides of human nature. Known for their powerful live performances and hard-hitting sound, the band has crafted a song that is as infectious as it is confrontational, inviting listeners to question the motives of those around them and see through façades.

The Last Vinci’s “Sonova Beach” is available now on all major streaming platforms. For those who crave rock music with depth, humor, and intensity, this track is not to be missed.
