A major fire in Birmingham last week destroyed the shared practice space of several musicians, including bUTTONpUSHER pals Mt. Yonder and ex-Blakfish frontman S T Manville as well as touring artist Katie Malco. The blaze resulted in the loss or severe damage of their instruments and equipment, amounting to over £20,000. This loss is particularly hard on independent musicians. The affected bands have set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds for repairs and new gear. Any contribution, no matter how small, would greatly help them recover and get back on their feet.
