Leeds based Art-Rock band Sang Froid (formerly Pave) double in size and release brand new single Roadworks.

Sang Froid spindle discordant melodies, ethereal vocals and thick drum patterns to create a ferociously unique listening experience. Ais (Vocals + Keys) and Toby (Drums + Vocals) formed the band as Pave in April 2019. After playing a series of captivating shows and festivals they decided to expand and welcomed Freddie (Bass) & Charlie (Guitar) to the family. With the band continuously evolving, the music runs parallel to that; reaping influence from Deerhoof, The Mars Volta & Bjork.
‘Roadworks’ is the first single to be released by the newly transformed szechuan screamers Sang Froid. This is the first of three singles recorded at HOHM studios in Bradford with Tom Goodall (Cattle).

“Roadworks mirrors the feeling of being stuck in unwanted company/traffic” – Toby (Drums).
“It was written as a reaction to the mamed feeling you feel when you spend far too long in a conversation you can’t get out of, we’ve all been there” – Ais (Vocals/Keys)
“Sang Froid are an incredible live band that’ll make you want to headbang whilst dancing like Kate Bush, do not pass up the opportunity to see them” – Katarzyna Jaskowska (ArcTanGent Festival)
“Hypnotic notes assist in the cathartic performance from the band, each musician easily creating such a full-bodied set. There’s a lot more to come from these guys in the future and this is exciting.” – Circuit Sweet 2019
