Nottingham Post-Rock Trio Diaspar Announce Debut Single “Somewhere Else”

A compelling new presence in the UK post-rock scene emerges as Nottingham three-piece Diaspar release their first single “Somewhere Else” OUT NOW across all major streaming platforms.

Expansive yet introspective, “Somewhere Else” unfolds through layered guitars, textural electronics, and dynamic percussion, building from quiet tension into widescreen crescendos. The track showcases Diaspar’s ambition to push the genre forward by weaving electronic elements and cinematic sound design into their post rock foundation.

“We wanted the track to capture the feeling of leaving something familiar behind… that uneasy space between what was and what comes next,” the band say. “It grows, retreats, and then opens up, much like the emotions it explores.”

Recorded at Godhand Studios, Derby and produced and mastered by Ben Gaines (The Audiomage), the single highlights the chemistry of the trio: Josh Hasnip (Guitar, Vocals), Matt Edwards (Guitar), and Ben Fawce (Drums, Electronics, Vocals).

Drawing on a broad palette of influences, from atmospheric film scores to modern instrumental rock, Diaspar brings new depth to post-rock, experimenting with space, texture, and subtle electronic layers and vocals to create music that feels immersive and narrative-driven.

With their debut single setting the tone, the band are eager to unveil their first EP ‘Exit Sequence’ (scheduled for release February 6th 2026) and are building momentum through live shows – recently supporting post-metallers The Grey in December 2025.
