Peach return with “The Nerve”

Peach return with “The Nerve”, a feral new track from their forthcoming sophomore album Only Love, due 13th March. The Bristol noiserock collective have always thrived in the margins where abrasion meets ecstasy and here they double down, delivering a wiry, off-kilter art-rock burner that feels both unhinged and meticulously controlled.

“The Nerve” is built on a lurching groove that coils and snaps, all serrated edges and sudden release. At its centre is Ellie Godwin, whose voice shape-shifts chaotically throughout to great effect. It’s a performance that feels as athletic as it is possessed and is entirely commanding.

If Only Love promises anything, it’s escalation. Peach are staking an early claim on 2026 with a track that’s equal parts swagger and frenzy.

“It’s a mad one,” Godwin says. “I really set myself a challenge vocally, which will certainly be interesting when we tour the album – but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.”
