Recorded in April 2024 at London’s Bookhouse Studios with Tom Hill (The None, JOHN, I Feel Fine), “All the Best” marks a new chapter for Brighton indie-punk duo Regal Cheer. Known for their raw yet infectious energy, the band has steadily carved out a niche since their live debut in 2021, sharing stages with heavyweights like Young Guv, Tigers Jaw, Martha, One Step Closer, and Fresh.
The track bristles with a certain cathartic anger but stays rooted in the earnest optimism that defines Regal Cheer’s songwriting. Its theme? A bittersweet farewell to circumstances that no longer work, imbued with a sense of peace and forward motion. There’s no melodrama here—just a sincere acknowledgment that sometimes the healthiest move is to step away. It’s punk rock maturity, delivered with all the reckless passion of youth.
“All the Best” follows the band’s springboard 2024 EP, Big Man Little Man Strike Partnership, and their now sold-out debut album Cans (2023), both of which helped establish their reputation for blistering live shows and hook-laden anthems. Those who caught them supporting Mould or Soot Sprite last year know the firepower they bring to every stage.
Looking ahead, Regal Cheer are set to tour with Specialist Subject Records’ Toodles and the Hectic Pity in February 2025, with additional dates expected soon. If their trajectory so far is anything to go by, “All the Best” won’t just be a sendoff—it’ll be the launchpad for their next big leap.
