Sleemo release new single “Bleeding”

There’s a particular kind of chaos that Sleemo thrive in and with their new single “Bleeding” the Norwich-based trio plant their flag firmly the UK’s underground post-hardcore scene, joining the ranks of Drongo Records’ growing roster of heavy-hitters.

Recorded with longtime friend and collaborator David Vickers (A Horse Called War, Eat Your Own Head, Rad Pitt), “Bleeding” is a teeth-baring statement of intent. The guitars slash with angular precision, the bass grinds like steel under pressure, and the drums move with the deliberate force of a controlled detonation. But at its heart, the song lives and dies by its dual vocals: guitarist Billy Utting’s urgent, melodic delivery tangled up with bassist Jack Andrews’ unrestrained screams.

Lyrically, the track explores the collapse that comes when pride curdles into self-destruction. “It’s about rejecting help out of selfish pride” the band explains, “only for that same pride to eventually consume you”. Sleemo tracked “Bleeding” in raw first takes, chasing the unfiltered volume and immediacy of their live shows and if “Bleeding” is any indication, Sleemo’s next chapter is going to hurt in all the right ways. The band calls it “darker, heavier, and much rawer” than anything they’ve done before.

“Bleeding” is just the first of a three-part build-up to the band’s second full-length, set for release in June 2026, its a record they promise will tackle collapse, destruction, and the long crawl toward healing.
