Gothenburg’s renowned cinematic post-rock ensemble EF have shared a breathtaking video that documents the sheer intensity of their live performances to celebrate the imminent start of their forthcoming European tour.

Now approaching 25 years as a band, EF’s 2006 debut ‘Give Me Beauty… Or Give Me Death!’ is now regarded as a pivotal post-rock record and set EF on an incredible trajectory of subsequent ambitious studio albums and unforgettable live shows. After performing at 2018’s Pelagic Fest, life got in the way and the band found themselves on indefinite hiatus.

However, after five years of radio silence EF returned with their latest release, 2022’s ‘We Salute You, You and You!’ An astounding record that draws as much from the fourpiece’s hardcore roots as it does from the lived experience they’ve shared in the intervening years; ‘We Salute You…’ is as majestic as is it menacing, all while bathed in the band’s singular sense of melancholy.

A live recording of stand out piece ‘Wolves, Obey!’ soundtracks the powerful new video and proves that EF are still raring to pick up where they left off, with 14 shows across Europe lined up throughout August and September including, quite fittingly, a welcome return to this year’s very special 15th Anniversary Edition of Pelagic Fest.
