Terminals release new single “Labyrinth”

Birmingham’s Terminals return today with ‘Labyrinth’, their second single of 2026 and a track that sees the band expanding on the crushing foundations of previous release ‘Push’.

Pulling together downtuned nu-metal heft with walls of shoegaze atmosphere, Labyrinth is equal parts suffocating and cathartic. Where Push hit with immediate force, the new single takes a more expansive approach, layering dense textures and immersive soundscapes around its weight to create something that feels both crushing and cinematic with its accompanying video, directed and filmed by Kristina Benova and edited by James Whitehouse, reinforcing the song’s dreamlike yet unsettling atmosphere.

Recorded in Wrexham in early February 2026, the track was engineered and co-produced by Ryan Williams and Fynn Gillions, mixed by James Cohu and mastered by Hamish Dickinson.

“Labyrinth is a song about being trapped within a mind full of fear and spiralling through a web of anxiety and chaos whilst trying to find the exit. The lyrics touch on the inner conflict that comes with these thoughts, but provide a sense of hope that there is an end in sight through love and acceptance of ourselves.*”
