TOE – HUGELY INFLUENTIAL JAPANESE BAND ANNOUNCE THEIR FIRST EVER UK TOUR FOR 2026

With their long-awaited UK return now just around the corner, the incredible, hugely influential and deeply loved Japanese band toe are preparing to bring their “Loneliness Will Shine” tour to the UK this month.

Blending an intricate and breathtaking mix of post-rock, jazz, electronica, math rock and R&B, toe have built a reputation for spellbinding live performances that are as technically stunning as they are emotionally powerful. Despite their global influence, the band have only visited the UK twice in their entire career – first in 2013 for a sold-out London show at XOYO, and again in 2016 for an exclusive appearance at ArcTanGent Festival.

Since then, their impact on the world of math rock has only grown, both in Japan and internationally. The band recently celebrated their 25th anniversary in spectacular fashion, completing their 25th tour across Japan and culminating in a huge in-the-round performance at a sumo arena in Tokyo.

Their upcoming UK shows form part of that anniversary celebration, bringing the “Loneliness Will Shine” tour to European audiences for a series of very special dates.

If you need a reminder of just how captivating toe can be, revisit their stunning performance of “Goodbye” for The First Take, featuring Asako Toki and Seigen Tokuzawa – a beautiful snapshot of the band’s remarkable musicianship and atmosphere.
