UNCULTIVATES have released their third and potentially most explosive single to date. “Dread First” is out now and streaming everywhere, serving as the final single ahead of their debut album, This Will Become Clear Later, Like The French Revolution, due for release on the 6th February.
“Dread First, the third single is about being trapped at home while sick and letting the dread fester. Don’t let the spoonerism mislead you, there’s nothing nu-metal here. You can try and distract yourself but it’s always dread first.” – Uncultivates
UNCULTIVATES bill themselves as riff-toting cowboys from Southern (Ireland) Texas, operating firmly in the realm of math-leaning post-hardcore. Though they’ve only been around a short time, they’ve already built an impressive live résumé, touring across the UK and Ireland with bands like Gama Bomb, Hundred Year Old Man, Mastiff, Party Cannon, and Codespeaker.
Onstage, UNCULTIVATES turn every room into a kind of hardcore rock rodeo. Their shows are loud, physical, and unruly, trading polish for impact and leaving little doubt about their intent. If “Dread First” is any indication, their debut album promises the same mix of tension, aggression, and dark humor—uncomfortable, unavoidably direct, and impossible to ignore.
