After a standout set at this year’s 2000trees festival, Bristol’s harmony-fuelled heavyweights, Blank Atlas return with Leave My Life Behind, a huge, emotionally charged anthem about finding peace in letting go. The single arrives as the band gear up for their co-headline tour across the UK and Ireland this November, alongside The Last Vinci.
Known for their driving riffs and boyband-esque three piece harmonies, Leave My Life Behind highlights the trios knack for writing huge, singalong anthems that are rooted in vulnerability. The single marks a sharp turn from their last release; hardcore-leaning track If You Can’t Beat Them, Join Them – underlining the ever-growing versatility and fluid songwriting.
Speaking about the track, guitarist Dan Thould says: “Leave My Life Behind was written during a pretty sad time – a time when I felt like I wanted to leave everything behind instead of facing up to what was happening to me, and the effect it was having on my life. Rationally, we all know that’s a terrible idea – but at the time, leaving my life behind sounded more and more enticing by the minute.”
To accompany the release of Leave My Life Behind, Blank Atlas have announced a UK and Ireland tour throughout November, alongside The Last Vinci.
