Iran Iran release new track “Shinzo Abe Lego Gun”

Bristol’s own powerhouse of chaotic math rock, Iran Iran, have just unleashed their latest single, “Shinzo Abe Lego Gun”, marking another explosive addition to their back catalogue. Known for their unconventional song titles and complex, genre-bending soundscapes. Iran Iran keep changing what they do. Right now they’re calling it attention deficit doom. You’ll get the idea. They like to play loud. They collect enormous riffs and mathy nonsense into crushing boulders of feelings. Occasionally there’s some ambient respite, but not much. You’re gonna love it.

The single is a teaser from their highly anticipated upcoming album, “Dog Tramadol”, which promises a blend of dissonant riffs, intricate rhythms, and the kind of intensity that has earned Iran Iran a dedicated following in the underground math rock scene.

The album was brought to life by Tom Peters at Liverpool’s renowned Trapdoor Studios, a space known for its pedigree in recording cutting-edge alternative acts. Peters, whose engineering and production prowess have helped shape the sound of numerous heavy and experimental bands, worked closely with Iran Iran to capture their raw energy and complex arrangements. The final mastering touches were added by Stephen Kerrison at Weird Jungle Mastering, ensuring that every jagged note and chaotic crescendo cuts through with crystal clarity.

Iran Iran have a reputation for delivering high-octane live performances, and if “Shinzo Abe Lego Gun” is any indication, “Dog Tramadol” will be an album to watch out for—one that will resonate deeply with fans of intricate, noisy rock. Keep an ear out for this one as it promises to be an audacious journey through the wild, math-infused world of one of Bristol’s finest experimental bands.
