LAURA REZNEK Streams New Single ‘Endeavours’

Canadian-born, UK-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Laura Reznek unveils her latest single, “Endeavours” a reflective and intricately crafted track released today. Fans of Fiona Apple, Adrianne Lenker, and Nick Drake will find themselves captivated by Reznek’s fusion of poetic lyricism and raw, organic sound.

The single marks the first glimpse into a larger project slated for 2025, pulling from the textured storytelling of her 2021 album Agrimony while delving into more intimate sonic terrain. Recorded mostly solo in her Kentish countryside home, “Endeavours” blends analog synths, violin, piano, and guitar into a lush yet understated composition. Collaborators—including cellist Sam Rowe, guitarist Daniel Baxter, and drummer Martin Newbury—add depth, with strings recorded live in a local church and final touches by Brock Macfarlane at CPS Mastering.

Reznek describes the track as a meditation on grief’s nonlinear nature:

“Endeavours was an ‘endeavour’ to process the un-linear-ness of grief. It is an acceptance of a new reality and an ability to look back on past events with kindness but without rose-tinted glasses; attempting to stay grounded knowing that whilst things weren’t always perfect, finding levity is still possible.”

Reznek’s musical journey is steeped in both classical training and DIY ethos. Born into a family of music lovers in Vancouver, she left Canada in 2015 to pursue her artistic vision abroad. Her catalogue spans across disciplines, from her debut album Who Came Before Us (2014) to collaborations with theatre, dance, and film. She has scored works for dance premieres at Canada’s National Arts Centre and contributed music to Netflix’s Tiny Pretty Things. Her 2021 album Agrimony even inspired a contemporary dance production that premiered to sold-out audiences in Vancouver.

With her ability to weave deeply personal narratives into collaborative projects, Reznek has built a reputation as a bold and versatile creator. Her work balances introspection with exploration, turning her restlessness into something stunningly cohesive.

As the first piece of a highly anticipated new chapter, “Endeavours” offers a heartfelt reminder of music’s power to navigate life’s complexities. It’s Laura Reznek at her most vulnerable—and most masterful.
