London’s rising rock rebels, Unpeople, are fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in the UK’s underground scene. Fresh off the back of their blistering debut EP, the band have spent the summer setting festival stages ablaze and tearing through an intense tour schedule. But today, they’ve taken things up a notch, dropping the video for their latest single, “The Garden.”

Directed by Zak Pinchin, the video is a perfect showcase of everything Unpeople do best. It’s a full-throttle banger full of crushing riffs, and head-bang-worthy grooves that hit like a tonne of bricks and with more than enough twists and turns to keep you hooked from start to finish.

“‘The Garden’ started off as a joke. An actual musical joke. A musical joke that we couldn’t stop singing for weeks on end“

“Lyrically, I wanted to keep it very simple and borderline surface level nonsensical. There is meaning, but I’d rather leave that up to the listener to discern and interpret for themselves. Sometimes you want to get away from it all but simultaneously have a feeling of familiarity and a sense of security.”
