Brighton-based feminist electro-punk trio CLT DRP are delighted to kick off their year today with another explosive, provocative slice of genre-bending alternative music, as they reveal new single ‘WHAT IS SHE FOR?’, released on 18th March 2026 via all good digital service providers.

The first look at a larger body of work yet to be revealed, ‘What Is She For?’ is the band’s first new material since 2024 standalone single ‘Until You Showed Me’

The single continues their trajectory of pushing the CLT DRP sound further than ever before, blurring the boundaries between heavy and electronic music like nobody else on the scene today.

Produced and mixed by long-time collaborator Ben Hampson (Lambrini Girls, DITZ), ‘What Is She For?’ continues the band’s deconstruction of both traditional gender roles and genre constraints, showing a refined edge to their increasingly accomplished songwriting that is rapidly setting them apart from contemporaries.

Commenting on the new single, vocalist Annie Dorrett says: “This single is a not so subtle protest to the endless requirements you have to meet as a DIY AFAB fronted band. Our next piece of work is an extremely diverse collection of music. We wanted our first single back to show another side of us that perhaps our audience hasn’t heard yet. ‘What Is She For?‘ displays more objections and questions regarding classic gender roles, even more so than our previous work. Sonically it’s more mature and fine tuned, while the production still emulates the fresh energy we have playing live.”

Spending the past year on the road supporting notorious punks Bob Vylan and the mighty Lambrini Girls on their UK headline tour dates, the band are today also pleased to announce an early run of festival appearances for 2026 at Sonic Wings Festival, Homegrown Festival, FOCUS Wales, Bulletproof Festival and RADAR Festival, with further live dates TBA.
