Tallah reveal heaviest song yet ‘A primeval detachment’

Tallah have dropped “A Primeval Detachment,” the latest cut from their upcoming album Primeval: Obsession // Detachment, out on 5th September via Earache Records. The track barrels into the album’s darker second half, offering a brutal, unrelenting preview of what’s to come.

The accompanying music video captures Tallah’s live insanity in all its sweat-drenched, limb-flailing glory. Shot in an underpass packed with fans, the video showcases the band in their natural habitat – raw, unhinged, and erupting with volatile energy like Mt. Vesuvius on steroids. At one point, frontman Justin Bonitz is seen hanging upside down from the ceiling mid-scream.

“This is not only the heaviest entry on the record, but potentially the heaviest in our entire discography,” the band state. “It’s relentless, top to bottom. Acting as the opening track of Act 2, the intro to the song really sets the tone. The pretty string quartet from Act 1 is falling apart, and the album takes a much darker turn. The final breakdown of this track is going to be a highlight at live shows, guaranteed.”
